While most difficult games are just downright cheap and obnoctious about being difficult, but when you lose in mega man, its because you suck, not because the game wasn't made right. THIS GAME IS VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY DIFFICULT, but that's exactly why i gave it a five-of-five. The games simplistic fun will suck you in from the very start, but eventually, you'll reach the games first real boss and your dream of hopping and bopping through this game with little difficulty will be shattered. The collection on PS2 and Gamecube contains the PS1 port. The Saturn version handle sprites just a tad bit better and some characters have more frames of animation than the PS1 version, although both versions are great. There are small differences between the PS1 and Saturn version. If your looking to get X4, I'd say the Saturn version is the best version to have. It's hard to say which is the best Megaman X game as they all have their unique approach to the series.
